Matt, the cheery and helpful dude in charge this Sunday night, pleasantly ushered us out and into the parking lot next door, set up with metal chairs and tables. However, the open door to Bathtub Gin was welcoming and hardly clandestine as described in the past. These alleys in Belltown are not salubrious during Pandemic 2020.
Last night was my first chance to stroll the alley between 1st and 2nd, stuck between Blanchard and Bell. I wanted to visit Bathtub Gin since before I moved to Seattle in February of 2020. The speakeasy affect of Bathtub Gin lies somewhere east of Covid Pandemic and a bit south of Quarantine Lock Down. This isn't the 'new normal.' Normalcy has been tossed aside for the weird and bizarre.
